Bangladesh will play a one-off Test against Afghanistan in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) in October, followed by an ODI tri-nation series involving Afghanistan and Zimbabwe.
The Afghanistan Cricket Board (ACB) confirmed the schedule today (8 September).

The ODI tri-series will run from 17-23 October, with Bangladesh opening the tournament against Zimbabwe on 17 October.
Zimbabwe will then face hosts Afghanistan on 19 October, before Afghanistan and Bangladesh meet in the final league match on 21 October. The top two teams will qualify for the final on 23 October.
Following the tri-series, Afghanistan will host Zimbabwe for a three-match T20 series and a two-match Test series.
ACB Chief Executive Officer Naseeb Khan welcomed the confirmation of the schedule.
“We are pleased to confirm this important period of international cricket for the Afghanistan National Team,” he said. “Playing Bangladesh and Zimbabwe across different formats will provide our players with valuable competitive opportunities and offer our supporters an exciting period of international cricket.”
Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) Chief Executive Officer Nizam Uddin Chowdhury also welcomed the tour, particularly the Test assignment.
“The Test match and the tri-nation series promise an exciting period of cricket for fans in both Bangladesh and Afghanistan,” he said.
“We attach great importance to Tests, and this will be an excellent opportunity for our players to experience red-ball cricket in the UAE for the first time and challenge themselves against a formidable Afghanistan side that has traditionally performed well in these conditions,” he added.
