Indian all-rounder Deepti Sharma has advanced to sixth place in the ICC Women’s T20I bowler rankings following her strong performances in the ongoing Women’s Asia Cup. The right-arm spinner has taken eight wickets in three matches, contributing significantly to India’s qualification for the tournament semi-finals.
Deepti’s rise by two places places her just 60 rating points behind teammate Sree Charani, who remains the top-ranked bowler in T20I cricket according to the ICC. Deepti previously achieved the top ranking in December last year. Between Sharma and Charani in the rankings are Sophie Ecclestone, Charlie Dean, Nonkululeko Mlaba, and Lauren Bell.

Other players made notable gains in the updated T20I bowler rankings, including Marufa Akter rising 19 places to 18th, Chamari Athapaththu moving up five to equal 28th, and Sultana Khatun climbing nine places to equal 37th, all following impressive Asia Cup performances.

The latest ODI rankings also saw significant changes after England’s home series against Ireland. Stand-in England captain Charlie Dean rose one place to equal ninth among ODI all-rounders and gained two spots to joint 11th in ODI bowling, following three wickets in the three-match series. Lauren Filer advanced 14 places to 39th, and Ireland’s Cara Murray improved 16 places to 50th in ODI bowling rankings.
Among ODI batters, Ireland’s Amy Hunter climbed nine places to 11th, with England’s Maia Bouchier and Sophia Dunkley improving to 42nd and 43rd respectively.
