Dwaine Pretorius struck twice in the powerplay, trapping Kirk McKenzie and Keacy Carty both lbw, as Guyana Amazon Warriors, captained by Imran Tahir, restricted Jamaica Kingsmen to 159-7 despite a late assault from Hassan Khan.
Tahir was expensive in the closing overs, conceding three sixes in a row to Khan, but Guyana chased the target down with eight wickets and 16 balls to spare, extending their unbeaten start to five wins from five matches, the joint-best record in the competition alongside Antigua and Barbuda Falcons.

No South Africans featured in this match. Hasan Nawaz’s 76 anchored Falcons’ innings, while Rahkeem Cornwall took 3-17 to derail Trinbago Knight Riders’ chase, before a late fightback from Kieron Pollard and Joshua da Silva fell just short.
The result kept Falcons top of the table and left TKR on the brink of elimination.
