CRICKET: Old Southendian & Southchurch dented Billericay’s promotion hopes with a 91-run wicket win at Garon Park.
Southendian opted to bat first after winning the toss and scored 299.
Opener Jack Potticary top scored with a brilliant 155 while Ahsan Yousaf added 52.
Jarred Lysaught (3/35) was the pick of the Billericay bowlers before his side were bowled out for 208 in reply.
Lysaught led the way with 59 while Rohan Hodivala added 54 and Anay Patel 45.
But four wickets each for Prasann Shukla and Rishabh Dixit secured victory for the hosts who are now sixth in Essex League Division One.
Billericay are third, a point behind third-placed Aztecs.
In-form Hadleigh & Thundersley also triumphed as they beat Chingford by six wickets.

Westcliff were put into bat and scored 170 all out.
Rukshan Madusanka led the way with 50 but it was not enough to trouble Springfield who made it home for the loss of four wickets.
Westcliff are now 19 points from safety with two games to go.
In Division Three, third-placed Leigh-on-Sea kept their promotion
In Division Three, third-placed Leigh-on-Sea kept their promotion hopes alive with an 83-run win against second-placed Harlow.
Leigh batted first and scored 295/4.
Skipper Nick Vanlint hit a fine 100 while fellow opener Isaac Wohlsen added 55.
Ross Keeley also scored 55 and Noah Sims 43 not out before Harlow were bowled out for 212 with Oliver West and Manvenda Mishra taking three wickets each.
Leigh are now 14 points behind Harlow with two games to go.
In Division Four, table-topping Wickford beat Bow Green by eight wickets.
Bow Green were dismissed for 109 with Jatin Kukreja (5/21) and Sazeeb Badreodoha Rafit (5/29) both bowling superbly well.
In reply, Wickford made it home for the loss of two wickets with Jatin Kukreja scoring 46 not out and Ronnie McKenna 44 not out.
Third-placed Benfleet suffered a 39-run defeat to Rainham.
Rainham scored 230/8 before Benfleet were bowled out for 191.
