ST. LUCIE COUNTY, Fla. (CBS12) —A funnel cloud was spotted over a Port St. Lucie neighborhood Sunday evening as a tornado warning was issued for southeastern St. Lucie County and northeastern Martin County.
CBS12 obtained video showing the funnel cloud moments after the National Weather Service issued the warning, which remained in effect through 7 p.m.
Moments after the warning was issued, CBS12 obtained a video of a tornado spotted above a Port St. Lucie neighborhood.
The storm was expected to move near Walton, Stuart, and the St. Lucie Nuclear Power Plant around 6:30 p.m. Hutchinson Island South was also among the areas affected by the warning.
