The demands are high in the Indian cricket camp and despite winning the first two games on their tour of New Zealand, their coaching staff want more.
India head into game three of the T20 series against the Black Caps with two close wins over the home side in Christchurch.
Just a day after arriving in the country, India started their 12-match tour with a four wicket win and followed it up with the same result on Sunday.

Bowling coach Morne Morkel said they had been planning and preparing for this tour for months and they expected high standards from the players right from the first ball.
“I think as a management staff, we can be slightly more lenient in that first couple of games with a travelling schedule, jet lag, one or two training sessions we’re going to be slightly off … but from now on there’s no more excuses,” Morkel told RNZ.
“We want our standards to go [up], we’ve slept enough. I think we found our feet a little bit so hopefully from here, we can do those one percenters slightly better.”

Morkel, who played 247 games for South Africa, felt some of his bowlers’ decision making in the first two games wasn’t as good as he would have liked.
“There’s a big focus on this tour, especially white ball cricket, to really put our standards and our levels, to get it up there and play a good brand of cricket.”
Lifting those standards in the hope that the current T20 world champions can add the 50-over title next year.

India’s tour of New Zealand is the biggest by any country to Aotearoa and it has generated huge interest both hear and in India.
The tourists want to improve their performances world wide. In recent years India have had issues playing in New Zealand conditions. The Black Caps have won their last two home Test and ODI series against India.
“On this tour we want to be a team that not only plays our white ball cricket well in India, I think the guys understand the responsibility.
I think for us it’s about playing
“I think for us it’s about playing that brand of cricket that on the world stage is entertaining.
“We’re not always going to get it right, but I think it’s about us putting that aggressive foot forward.”
