Australia are set to make at least one change to their playing XI for the third ICC World Test Championship fixture against South Africa in Cape Town.
Matt Renshaw is in contention to open the batting alongside Travis Head, after Nic Maddinson managed just one score above 10 in four innings since his recall for the series against South Africa.
Maddinson, alongside back-up wicketkeeper Sam Harper, have been released from Australia’s Test squad.
The change comes following Head’s open assessment of Australia’s batting order struggles in the Gqeberha Test.

Steve Smith is also set to undergo a fitness test after he complained of neck stiffness during Australia’s match-eve training session. The batter is expected to be available for the series decider.
Cameron Green and Josh Inglis are also available after recovering from their respective injuries.
The series is level 1-1 after Australia eased to a 214-run win in the first Test, while South Africa bounced back strongly to seal an innings and 31-run victory in Gqeberha.
The Proteas have also made a tweak to their squad for the decider, with Anrich Nortje missing out after sustaining a groin injury in the second Test.
