KL Rahul is not leaving DC ahead of IPL 2027: Parth Jindal quashes trade rumours with viral ‘X’ post
Since the conclusion of the Indian Premier League 2026 season, trade rumours started circulating about several star players. Just months after the 19th season ended, Rishabh Pant was the first big transfer to be confirmed, as he left Lucknow Super Giants after just two years and returned to Delhi Capitals ahead of the IPL 2027 campaign.
Soon after Pant moved back to Delhi, rumours circulated that it could mark the end of KL Rahul’s journey with DC as they had procured a marquee wicket-keeper option.
Rahul was linked with a move to several IPL franchises, including KKR. The rumours of Rahul joining KKR were the strongest as the three-time champions are in search of a quality batter cum captain option to replace Ajinkya Rahane in their squad.
However, all the speculations ended prematurely, months before the next IPL mini auction, as Delhi Capitals confirmed that KL Rahul will stay at the franchise at least for one more season.
Following DC’s social media post, franchise co-owner Parth Jindal further quashed all rumours as he posted on X, praising KL Rahul as a player.
On X, Jindal posted, “KL IS KLUTCH FOR @DelhiCapitals – one of the nicest guys i know and one who puts the team before himself always. We have unfinished business and will work hard together to make Delhi proud @IPL.”
