Rinku Singh is known as a finisher and recently won the UPT20 League as captain. He led Meerut Mavericks to a historic win against Lucknow Falcons in the final, played in Lucknow. Meerut won the title for the second time, and Rinku Singh led the team both times. A potential captaincy search is underway for the Kolkata Knight Riders, and with Rinku in their squad, they have a perfect chance to hand him the Captaincy.
After winning the 2024 Indian Premier League under the captaincy of Shreyas Iyer, KKR could not qualify for the playoffs for the next 2 seasons.
