Dhruv Jurel has scored two international centuries, both in Test cricket, after completing his second hundred against Sri Lanka in Colombo on August 24, 2026. He has not scored a century in ODIs, T20 Internationals or the Indian Premier League.
Jurel’s unbeaten 115 on the second day of the second Test against Sri Lanka here on Monday was a testimony of his devotion to that motto.
Indian batter Dhruv Jurel etched his name in cricket history by scoring an unbeaten 115, becoming only the second Indian to achieve a Test century at No. 7 or lower in Sri Lanka, significantly bolstering India’s position in the ongoing Test match.
Mumbai: With India resuming at 300/5, the game was still very much in the balance at the start of the second day’s play in the second Test at the Sinhalese Sports Club Ground on Monday. There was also doubt over Rishabh Pant’s fitness after fast bowler Lahiru Kumara had struck him on the wrist overnight.
Rain stopped Dhruv Jurel five short of a century in Colombo. He completed it after the break, and India’s first innings closed on 503 for 9 with him not out on 115.
