Mumbai: Transgender cricketer Anaya Bangar is aiming to return to elite women’s cricket in Australia from March 2027 after being cleared to compete at the community level, though she is yet to secure a place in a team.

Transgender Indian athlete Anaya Bangar, whose father is former cricketer and cricket coach Sanjay Bangar, has announced that she has been cleared for playing “elite women’s cricket” in Australia from March 2027, provided she maintains the required low testosterone level.

Anaya Bangar, daughter of Sanjay Bangar gets her clearance from Cricket Australia and now she can play cricket professionally. She reached out to the BCCI but they didn’t keep her request and denied her clearance.
