West Indies batsman Shimron Hetmyer reached 7,000 runs in T20 cricket on Tuesday by scoring an unbeaten 111 to guide Guyana Amazon Warriors to a nine-run victory over Trinbago Knight Riders in a rain-affected Caribbean Premier League 2026 match in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago.
Hetmyer’s match-winning innings came off 43 balls and featured eight fours and nine sixes. The 29-year-old has now accumulated 7,096 runs from 352 T20 matches, holding an average of 26.67 and a strike rate of 145.05. His overall T20 tally includes two centuries, 35 half-centuries, 485 fours, and 413 sixes. The unbeaten 111 was also his highest T20 score.

The victory extended the Amazon Warriors’ unbeaten run to four wins from four matches, moving them to second place in the points table. Antigua and Barbuda Falcons lead with nine points, while Trinbago Knight Riders stand fifth after seven matches with five defeats.
Hetmyer, who has represented West Indies in 16 Tests, 59 One Day Internationals, and 85 T20 Internationals, has scored over 4,000 international runs. His achievements include five ODI centuries and 19 international half-centuries.
