Cricket is a 10-year-old pug that was an owner surrender. She’s now up for adoption from the Victoria Humane Society and this little cutie is great with kids and dogs that are the same energy as her, but she can’t go to a home with cats.
We’re also talking about the breathing issues that pugs and other brachycephalic dogs face, which affect their ability to handle hot weather and travel by plane. Most airlines won’t let them fly due to the risk. This means more and more pugs and other brachycephalic dogs are being surrendered when their owners move overseas or somewhere hot.
