The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has announced a 15-member squad for the men’s cricket tournament at the Asian Games 2026, with Litton Das appointed as captain. The competition is set to begin on September 17.
The squad includes several key players who recently competed against Zimbabwe in July, featuring captain Litton Das and Najmul Hossain Shanto.

At the previous Asian Games, Bangladesh secured the bronze medal, finishing behind silver medallists Sri Lanka and gold medallists India. Alongside India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and Afghanistan, Bangladesh gained direct qualification for the 2026 event, with hosts Japan also receiving automatic entry. Nepal, Malaysia, Hong Kong, China, and Oman secured their spots by advancing through the qualifying rounds.
Bangladesh’s most recent Twenty20 International matches occurred during their tour of Zimbabwe, where they achieved a 2-1 series victory in the three-match series. The team also delivered one of the most notable Test cricket upsets last month, when the Najmul Hossain Shanto-led side defeated Australia by nine wickets in Darwin. This historic victory made Bangladesh only the third Asian team, after India and Pakistan, to win a Test match in Australia.
The Bangladesh squad comprises Litton Das (captain), Tanzid Hasan, Parvez Hossain Emon, Mohammed Saif Hasan, Najmul Hossain Shanto, Tawhid Hridoy, Musaddek Hossain Saikat, Yasir Ali Chowdhury, Rishad Hossain, Shak Mahedi Hasan, Nasum Ahmed, Shaif Uddin, Shoriful Islam, Mustafizur Rahman, and Hasan Mahmud.
