According to an official report by the ICC, all matches will take place across two major venues: Mumbai’s Cricket Club of India and the Vadodara International Cricket Stadium. The two-week tournament marks the formal expansion of the Champions Trophy brand into the women’s international circuit, establishing a premier mid-cycle championship on Indian soil.
The tournament sees six of the top highest ranked sides in the world take part: Australia, England, South Africa, New Zealand, Sri Lanka and tournament hosts India. It will be contested entirely under the T20I banner and will run as one round-robin group only, and the two best sides will automatically progress straight into the final taking place on February 28.
