The European T20 Premier League (ETPL) has commenced its second week following a successful opening phase that has highlighted the quality of cricket, broadcast production, and growing support for Europe’s emerging professional cricket league.

Sanctioned by the International Cricket Council (ICC), the tournament features six city-based franchises from Dublin, Belfast, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Rotterdam and Amsterdam. The league combines established international stars with promising European players, creating a platform to promote cricket across the continent.

A key element of the broadcast has been the high-profile commentary team, which includes renowned figures such as Andy Flower, Shaun Pollock, Lisa Sthalekar, Katey Martin, Mpumelelo Mbangwa, Robin Uthappa, Rohan Gavaskar, HD Ackerman, Alan Wilkins, Nick Knight, Niall O’Brien, Isobel Joyce, Pieter Seelaar, Alex Hartley, Andrew Leonard, Steven Finn and Raunak Kapoor. The league’s broadcast incorporates advanced technologies, including Decision Review System (DRS), player tracking, biomechanics analysis, drone and buggy cameras, alongside sophisticated scoring, replay and ball-by-ball data. The digital infrastructure is supported by NV Play, supplying live scoring, match-centre features, replay functions, competition management and structured video data throughout the competition.
