Maiden Cricket, the Chichester business founded by sisters who previously appeared on BBC’s Dragons’ Den, has announced a partnership with SNAP Sponsorship. SNAP Sponsorship supports clubs, schools and universities seeking sponsorship for their women’s and girls’ cricket programmes, while Maiden Cricket produces clothing, teamwear and equipment designed specifically for female cricket players.
As part of the partnership, clubs will receive exclusive access to SNAP through Maiden. The companies say this will give clubs the tools needed to create sponsorship opportunities and generate additional revenue. The money can then be invested by clubs in their women’s and girls’ cricket programmes, including teamwear, equipment and facilities. Mark Covington, chief executive and founder of SNAP Sponsorship, said: “Maiden Cricket is doing something incredibly important for women’s cricket by creating clothing, teamwear and equipment designed specifically for female players.
“We’re proud to support that journey by helping clubs and other organisations secure the sponsorship funding they need to invest in their players, their facilities and their future.” Nicole Muller, business lead at Maiden Cricket, said the partnership would help organisations secure funding for clothing aimed specifically at female cricket players. “Women’s cricket has moved on, but too often the kit hasn’t,” she said.
“Women and girls are still expected to play in products that were never designed for them. “We’re delighted to partner with SNAP Sponsorship to help clubs, schools and universities unlock funding that can be invested in teamwear and equipment designed specifically for female players.”
