Here are 5 more Youngsters who have the caliber and can be on BCCI’s radar for the future and can be a great asset for the team.
Ayush Mhatre
This young dynamite is known for playing explosive innings, whether it be the IPL or the U19 Cricket World Cup. Born in 2007, he led Mumbai to win the 2026 U19 World Cup. He impressed the selectors and critics with his performance during the Ranji Trophy, scoring 2 centuries in the 24-25 season, scoring a career-defining 176 against Maharashtra. After 13 innings played in the IPL, he has a strike rate of 183.75, scoring 441 runs in the season.
Abhigyan Kundu
Born in 2008, this 18-year-old player leaves a mark every time he plays. During the recent Mumbai T20 League, he scored 204 runs in 6 innings with a strike rate of 142.66. He was the backbone of the team for the U19 World Cup 2026, scored important 40(31) in the finals against England. He had a brilliant average of 59.75 during the world cup with scores like 80, 61, 42* etc.
Vihaan Malhotra
Vihaan Malhotra was a part of the recent U19 World in 2026, and he was phenomenal, scoring 240 runs with an average of 60. Scored a brilliant century against Zimbabwe and an important 30 runs in the finals. During the recent Sher E Punjab T20 league match, the 19-year-old scored a brilliant 103(52)* against Jalandhar.
Aaron George
19-year-old attacking batsman hails from Telangana. Saved India’s batting in the semi-finals of the U19 World Cup against Afghanistan and helped India secure a spot in the Finals after scoring 115(104). In 8 innings scored 201 runs with a blistering strike rate of 171 in the Telangana T20; if nurtured correctly, he could be a great run-getter for the team.
Kanishk Chouhan
The 19 year All Rounder coming from Rajasthan proved to be the match-winner for India in the finals of the U19 World Cup. Took 2 important wickets of Thomas Rew and centurion Caleb Falconer. Chouhan scored 113 runs in 5 innings and took 4 wickets with his bowling; if groomed well can turn out to be a saviour all-rounder for the team.
