Cricket Association Lucknow defeated Aligarh Sports Association by nine wickets, while DSA Moradabad overcame MDCA Meerut Blue by 16 runs in the 17th Master Vaibhav T20 Championship at Gandhi Bagh Cricket Stadium in Meerut.
Yudhvir Singh, Director of the Meerut District Cricket Association, praised the quality of cricket displayed, specifically highlighting Lucknow’s strong bowling and DSA Moradabad’s resilience in defending their total. He commended the players for capitalising on the tournament platform and extended his best wishes to all teams for the remaining matches.

“It was another exciting day of cricket at the 17th Master Vaibhav T20, with both matches producing strong performances from the winning teams. Cricket Association Lucknow’s bowling unit set up their victory brilliantly, while DSA Moradabad showed great character to defend their total against MDCA Meerut Blue. It is encouraging to see players continuing to make the most of this platform, and I wish all the teams the very best for the remainder of the tournament,” he said.
In the first match, Aligarh Sports Association was bowled out for 41 runs in 12.1 overs. Cricket Association Lucknow then reached 45 for one in just 3.2 overs to secure a nine-wicket win. Rohit Dwivedi and Pawan Singh led the bowling attack for Lucknow with three wickets each. Himanshu Singh remained unbeaten on 28 runs off 11 balls during the chase. Rohit Dwivedi was named Player of the Match for his bowling figures of three wickets for 15 runs.
In the second contest, DSA Moradabad posted 181 for eight in their 20 overs, bolstered by Aryan Chaudhary’s innings of 86 runs off 46 balls. They then bowled out MDCA Meerut Blue for 165 runs in 18.4 overs. Shivam Sharma and Kushal Yadav took four wickets each for Moradabad, with Kushal conceding only four runs. Despite contributions from Sandeep Tomar and Ankur Malik, MDCA Meerut Blue fell 16 runs short. Kushal Yadav received the Player of the Match award for his outstanding bowling figures of four wickets for four runs.
