New Zealand pacemen Lockie Ferguson and Matt Henry will miss the remainder of the five-match Twenty20 International (T20I) series against India due to injuries, the International Cricket Council (ICC) confirmed.
Ferguson sustained a calf injury during the second T20I in Christchurch and will be sidelined for at least a week. Henry suffered a quadriceps injury in the same match, requiring up to two weeks for recovery.

The Black Caps have added fellow fast bowler Matt Fisher to their squad for the final two T20Is against India, scheduled for Friday and Sunday respectively. Both Ferguson and Henry are expected to be available for the One Day International (ODI) series against India, which begins on November 4.
New Zealand coach Rob Walter expressed disappointment over the injuries, stating, “We are gutted for Lockie and Matt. Injuries are part and parcel of international cricket, but it doesn’t make it any easier when you have to miss games.” He added, “Fortunately for Matt he was already going to sit out the rest of the T20Is with an eye to his big summer schedule, and we’re hopeful he will still play a key role in the ODIs. I know Lockie was fizzing to play in front of a sell-out home crowd at Eden Park tomorrow, but he is determined to be back for the ODIs.”
New Zealand currently trails India 3-0 in the T20I series.
The New Zealand squad includes: Mitchell Santner (captain), Finn Allen, Michael Bracewell, Mark Chapman, Josh Clarkson, Devon Conway, Jacob Duffy, Matt Fisher, Zak Foulkes, Bevon Jacobs, Adam Milne, Daryl Mitchell, Glenn Phillips, Tim Seifert, Nathan Smith, and Blair Tickner.
