Jack Channon Racing regained the Racing to Cricket Trophy in style on Sunday, September 6, defeating Nicky Henderson’s Seven Barrows 118-90 in the final at Wormsley Cricket Ground.
Now an established fixture in the racing calendar, Racing to Cricket brought together leading trainers, owners and racing supporters for a day combining competitive cricket, hospitality and fundraising.
The 2026 event was held in aid of Racing Welfare for the first time, with guests enjoying a champagne reception, lunch and an afternoon of cricket at one of the country’s most prestigious private grounds.

Racing Welfare chief executive Dawn Goodfellow said, “It was wonderful to see so many people from across racing coming together at Wormsley for what was a fantastic day. The cricket was fiercely competitive, but there was a real sense of fun and camaraderie throughout the day.
“We are incredibly grateful to everyone who supported Racing to Cricket in its first year raising funds for Racing Welfare. The generosity of the guests, players and auction donors will make a real difference to the people we support across the racing community.”
