Chadha is a 21-year-old right-arm leg-spinner and left-handed middle-order batter from Jalandhar, a product of CT Public School who has quietly built an impressive résumé through Punjab’s age-group system.
His numbers across domestic youth cricket are striking. During the 2021-22 Under-19 Punjab tournament, Chadha emerged as the highest wicket-taker with 36 wickets in nine matches for Jalandhar district. He represented Punjab in the BCCI’s Vijay Merchant Trophy and later topped the Senior One-Day Inter-District Tournament with 16 wickets in six matches.

Those performances caught the attention of Chennai Super Kings, who brought him on board as an intern bowler for the 2025 IPL season. The role gave Chadha access to the franchise’s training infrastructure and coaching staff, including the chance to bowl at some of the finest batters in the competition during net sessions.
Dismissing India’s Test and ODI captain in a state-level T20 is the most visible return on that investment so far, and it will not have gone unnoticed by the CSK management heading into the IPL 2027 auction cycle.
