Kaizer Chiefs got back to winning ways in the Betway Premiership with a 3-2 victory over Siwelele FC on Sunday evening.

Chiefs looked to get their campaign back on track after successive draws against Mamelodi Sundowns and Richards Bay FC, while Siwelele came searching for their first win of the season at the fifth attempt.
There was then no margin for error
There was then no margin for error for the two teams as the Amakhosi went on the charge looking to find a route in with a clever dink over the top by Mfundo Vilakazi to Wandile Duba, but the striker failed to profit and dragged wide of th upright.
Vilakazi went on himself on the half-hour mark when he beat the offside trap to run in on the right of the area and curled over the advancing Samkelo Xulu to break the deadlock with his first league goal of the campaign.
It remained a dominant spell for the Amakhosi who looked to have extended their tally after Duba pounced on a loose ball in the box and finished off a low pass, but his strike was ruled out for offside.
Siwelele produced a late fight in the final
Siwelele produced a late fight in the final seconds before halftime following a cross-cum shot from a corner-kick by Blessing Thulo, but it was met by goalkeeper Brandon Petersen.
The visitors were quick out of the blocks in the second half and threatened to get the equaliser when Siphesihle Jeza made space for himself to bring a forward pass under control before sending his effort wide of the mark.
Chiefs pulled further away in the middle exchanges of the second half and doubled the lead through a spectacular back-heel finish in the box by Duba following a short-corner.

Lehlohonolo Seema’s men pulled one back two minutes thereafter when a one-touch passing pattern across the edge of the area ended up with Aphiwe Baliti who riffled in the top corner from the far side.
However, the Amakhosi looked to consolidate their lead and as such showed a trio of substitutions from the dugout in Luke Baartman, Sibongiseni Mthethwa, and Faiz Abrahams.
The latter showed impact in the 76th minute and restored their two-goal tally when he lined-up for a free-kick on the far side and arrowed in off the far post and the head of Xulu to ensure their third goal of the day, although the ball went in off Xulu for the owngoal.
Siwelele grabbed a second goal deep in stoppage time after Tebogo Potsane made a run to the byline and pulled a cutback to substitute Evand Nguessan to fire in off the top of the upright, but the Amakhosi didn’t lose control and held on for the win.
