Cosco cricket added to Khedan watan Punjab diyan for first time: Meet Hayer

Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) MP Gurmeet Singh Meet Hayer on Saturday announced that Cosco cricket will be included in the fourth season of ‘Khedan Watan Punjab Diyan’ for the first time.

Meet Hayer said cricket enthusiasts across Punjab had been demanding the inclusion of the sport in the state’s flagship sporting event. Responding to the demand, the Punjab Government has now added Cosco cricket to the competition.

He said teams can be formed at the village level in rural areas and ward level in cities, allowing more cricket players to participate. He urged cricket lovers to register their teams and take part in the tournament in large numbers.

Online registration will remain open until September 10 through the Punjab Sports Department’s official website.

Meet Hayer said the initiative aims not only to organise sporting competitions but also to revive Punjab’s sports culture and encourage greater participation among youth and communities.

He added that the inclusion of Cosco cricket would provide grassroots players with a new platform to showcase their talent at the state level.
