PCA Secretary Gurmeet Singh Meet Hayer said, “We are delighted to have Mankirt Aulakh perform at the opening ceremony of the Sher-e-Punjab T20 League. It will be a special way to celebrate the beginning of a new chapter in Punjab cricket. We are looking forward to welcoming the fans to the stadium and making the opening a memorable one.”

Captains of the six participating franchises shared their perspectives on the league’s significance.
Shubman Gill, captain of India and Fazilka Falcons, said, “The start of the Sher-e-Punjab T20 League is a very special moment for Punjab cricket. The state has always had a strong cricketing culture, and this league gives us an opportunity to build on that legacy. It brings experienced players and young talent together and gives Punjab’s cricketers a platform to perform at a higher level.”
