HYDERABAD: Telangana plans to build an international cricket stadium in Bharat Future City.
The proposed stadium will come up near Mucherla in Rangareddy district. It will form part of a major sports complex.
Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy earlier said Telangana was in talks with the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI). The talks focus on developing a world-class cricket stadium.
A Telangana government document lists a 100-acre international cricket stadium for Bharat Future City. The plan also includes facilities for several other sports.

In June 2025, Reddy asked officials to appoint an international sports architect. He also asked officials to prepare a master plan for the sports facilities.
Telangana plans to develop Bharat Future City across around 30,000 acres. The project will focus on artificial intelligence, life sciences, tourism and sports.

The city will also get major transport links. The Outer Ring Road and Regional Ring Road will improve road access.
The government also plans a metro link between Hyderabad airport and Future City. This network could make the sports complex easier to reach.
The cricket stadium will add to Future City’s growing sports infrastructure. The project could also strengthen Telangana’s position as a major sports destination.
