India opens its Women’s Asia Cup 2026 campaign against Thailand on Sunday, with star all-rounder Deepti Sharma set to play a key role for the team. The Agra-born player will feature in her fourth edition of the tournament, having made her Asia Cup debut in 2018.
Here’s a look at Deepti Sharma’s numbers in the history of the tournament:
- Matches — 19
- Runs scored — 148
- Highest score — 64 vs UAE in 2022
- Batting Average — 21.14
- Wickets — 26
- Best Bowling Figures — 3/7 vs Thailand in 2022
- Bowling Average — 11
Deepti has been a bowler to watch out for in the tournament’s history. In each of the previous two editions, she finished as the leading wicket-taker.
In 2022, she pipped Sri Lanka’s Inoka Ranaweera, who also claimed 13 wickets, to finish as the tournament’s highest wicket-taker on the basis of her superior economy rate and average.
In 2024, Deepti retained the tag of the tournament’s leading wicket-taker, claiming 10 scalps.
