Young Ludhiana Gymkhana Club lifted the second Rafiq Khan Memorial T20 Cricket Tournament trophy after defeating hosts Lahore Cricket Club by six wickets
Batting first after being invited by Young Ludhiana, Lahore Cricket Club were bowled out for 130 in 19.1 overs. Abdullah Butt top-scored with 33, while Ahsan Kaleem made 17, Daniyal Ahmed 16 and Nauman Rasheed 15. Young Ludhiana’s bowlers kept pressure on, with M Usman, M Owais and Kamran Afzal claiming two wickets apiece. Intisar Ali, Ali Asghar and M Waqas took one wicket each. Young Ludhiana successfully reached the target in 18.1 overs for the loss of four wickets. Asim Ali Nasir anchored the successful pursuit with an impressive 67, while Abdus Salam provided support with an unbeaten 35. Lahore Cricket Club’s Zain-ul-Abideen, Zahid-ul-Hasan and Umar Ali took one wicket each.

The tournament, organised in memory of M Kaleem’s late father, featured 24 leading Lahore teams. The stage was contested on a league basis before the competition moved into the knockout phase, culminating in an exciting final.LRCA President Khawaja Nadeem Ahmed attended the final as chief guest and praised Kaleem for organising the event. He stressed the importance of continuing such tournaments to provide young local cricketers with regular competitive opportunities and help them further sharpen their skills.
Kh Nadeem later presented trophies, medals and shields to the successful players and tournament participants in the presence of Sarfraz Ahmed. Javed Ashraf and Qaiser Waheed officiated as umpires, Shahid Diwan was the match referee, while PCB international scorer Azhar Hussain handled the scoring.Officials thanked the PCB, LRCA and Model Town Cricket Association for their support and guidance in making the tournament successful.
