"“Na hum gentle hain, aur na hi humara game.” With this declaration, India women"s cricket team captain Harmanpreet Kaur features in Sony Sports Network"s latest campaign, 'Not a Gentleman"s Game', ahead of the Women"s T20 Asia Cup 2026. The campaign challenges cricket"s long-standing description as a “gentleman"s game” and highlights the intensity, aggression and preparation behind India"s women"s cricket team.
The film moves from training sessions, strength conditioning and bruised hands to match-day action, packed stadiums and India"s World Cup triumph. The film opens with Amitabh Bachchan saying, “Cricket is a gentleman"s game,” before Harmanpreet challenges the idea. The campaign"s central message is that victory has no gender, only the colour blue.
With India entering the tournament as world champions, the campaign is aimed at building anticipation for the team"s next challenge. The Women"s T20 Asia Cup 2026 will be played in the UAE from August 28 to September 13, with India set to face Pakistan in a marquee clash on September 5. "'Not a Gentleman"s Game' captures that confidence through Harmanpreet Kaur and celebrates a team that has made the nation believe.
The Women"s T20 Asia Cup promises high-intensity cricket, and we are delighted to bring every moment of it to audiences on Sony Sports Network and Sony LIV," says Rajesh Kaul, Chief Revenue Officer and Business Head, Sports and International, Sony Pictures Networks India. The campaign will run across Sony Sports Network"s television channels and Sony LIV in the lead-up to and during the tournament.
The Women"s T20 Asia Cup 2026 will be available on Sony Sports Network and Sony LIV from August 28, 2026."
